Whiz Kids Workshop is facilitating a workshop in collaboration with the Goethe Institute about high quality educational children’s media creation.

The workshop will be held for four consecutive days, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm on the 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th of August at Goethe Institute in Sedist Kilo, Addis Abeba.

Susanne Rieschel will be coming from the Prix Jeunesse International Children’s Television Festival in Germany to share award winning children’s television programs, facilitate discussions on quality children’s television content, and provide an additional working on script writing. This is a great opportunity to stimulate children’s media growth in Ethiopia.

Whiz Kids Workshop focuses on creating educational media and are best known for our educational children’s TV series “Tsehai Love Learning.”

“Tsehai Loves Learning” was an instant hit in Ethiopia. Each broadcast episode reaches an estimated 5,000,000 children.

The show has won critical acclaim from children’s television show producers and education experts around the world, winning prizes at the two biggest international children’s television festivals in 2008, with an additional award for entrepreneurial education efforts in Africa. These awards recognize “Tsehai Loves Learning” for its social impact, educational design, and creativity in solving Africa’s educational challenges.
